Sometimes a loop has the right sounds but feels too straight alongside the rest of the track. H-GROOVE applies swing to the audio and lets you adjust the attack and tail of its hits. Use it on drum loops and percussion with clear transients, listening against the main beat as you find the amount of movement that fits.
Groove
The Groove control adjusts the amount of swing, with 25, 50 and 75 per cent buttons for quick presets. Start with a small amount and listen to how the loop sits against the rest of your drums. Higher settings create a more pronounced timing shift when you want an obvious rhythmic effect. Audio with clear hits and gaps responds best, making drum loops and percussion good starting points.
Transient
Attack lets you bring out the initial hit of a soft snare or soften a sample that sounds too sharp. Sustain adjusts the body and tail, helping you bring forward room sound or shorten a loop that rings into the next hit. Pump adds a pulsing level change in time with the track, giving you control over rhythmic movement without setting up a sidechain.
