Keep a vocal clear when the drop comes in.
A vocal can sound finished in the breakdown, then lose words when the full drums and bass return. H-VOX brings the main vocal treatments into one window, so you can work on consistency and presence while hearing the whole track. Six faders control the amount of processing, with character choices for the treatments and separate setup pages for delay and reverb.
Clarity through to reverb
Clarity reduces low-mid muddiness and adds brightness to help the vocal come through the mix. Compress keeps quieter words from getting lost when the full track comes in, while De-Ess controls sharp S sounds that can become more noticeable as you brighten the vocal. Use Width sparingly on a lead, or add more spread to supporting vocals and stacked hooks. Delay and reverb add space around the phrasing, with separate controls for the amount of each.
The setup pages
Open the delay or reverb setup page to shape the effect around your vocal. Reverb predelay gives each word room before the tail arrives, while decay and filters help keep that tail clear of the next phrase. For delay, choose the rhythm and stereo pattern, then adjust feedback and tone to control how long the repeats last and how prominently they sit in the mix. The main faders set how much delay and reverb you hear.
